Maryam Khosravi

Maryam began her career as a nurse in the hospitals of Shiraz in 2002 — hands that reached out daily to ease the pain of others, long before she would come to know a deeper healing and peace of her own. In 2006, following a spiritual encounter that would forever redirect the course of her life, she surrendered her heart and her life to Jesus Christ. From that moment on, a flame of longing was kindled in her that would never again go out.

After this transformation, Maryam joined her husband Sam in serving the house churches. If nursing had been the calling of her hands, to heal the body, church ministry became the calling of her heart, to heal souls. Through the hard years of underground service, with danger forever hanging over them, it was this same fire and longing that kept her steady.

At last, in 2018, security forces arrested Maryam. Interrogation, detention, and imprisonment were a harrowing ordeal; and in its wake, she was dismissed from the job she had served with love for so many years. Yet Maryam has always spoken of this loss with a smile and with joy — for to her, Jesus Christ and the calling to serve Him were worth a price that no loss could ever diminish.

In the years that followed, Maryam and Sam built the ministry of Father’s Legacy together, step by step, watching it grow. Today, this ministry — born out of suffering and loss — is guided by the very hands that once tended the sick, for Maryam now serves as its director: a ministry that supports house churches across Iran, cares for the impoverished, and keeps hope alive even from exile.
